Proactive monitoring for mission critical remote working systems

24x7x365 monitoring and alerting enhancements now available to ensure optimum uptime for remote working

It’s been another very busy week for our support helpdesk teams with a huge number of logged calls due to COVID-19. Our UK and SA Technical Managers have been reviewing many of the cases to identify popular enquiries and how they were answered, so they can provide proactive knowledge sharing updates to all customers.

Among the enquiries, another common requirement is for proactive monitoring of remote working systems (i.e. Firewalls, VPN platforms) that are being used more than ever due to the rapid increase in home working. These requirements include:

  • 24x7x365 visibility of the uptime and health of their monitored remote access systems.
  • Immediate identification of potential service affecting issues.
  • Notification by phone, email and SMS, and provide the necessary support proactively*.
  • Tailored monitoring of their VPN usage.

For customers, with valid KARMA™ contracts, who would like to add their systems to the proactive service, there is a small fee required and it takes 24 hours to complete.

For customers with break-fix contracts, there is an uplift fee on your existing SLA to add additional systems for proactive remote monitoring.

The KARMA™ allows you and our support teams to closely monitor how your mission critical remote access platforms are performing, alerting of any issues that could affect availability.

Palo Alto Networks (PANW) customers

For our PANW customers, due to high demand, we have now added GlobalProtect monitoring to your Next-Generation Firewalls*. Your KARMA™ service now provides:

  • A historical view of all users.
  • Monitoring and threshold alerts on active and maximum VPN tunnels
  • Reporting on % used VPN tunnels.
