KHIPU South Africa achieves B-BBEE Level 2 Rating

The KHIPU Group of Companies is pleased to announce that KHIPU South Africa has been verified as a Level 2 Contributor to B-BBEE.

Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE), is a South African Government initiative driven by the Department of Trade and Industry, it aims to ensure that the economy is structured and transformed to enable the meaningful participation of the majority of its citizens and to further create capacity within the broader economic landscape at all levels through skills development, employment equity, socio economic development, preferential procurement, enterprise development, especially small and medium enterprises, promoting the entry of black entrepreneurs into the mainstream of economic activity, and the advancement of co-operatives.

“We are delighted that KHIPU South Africa continually improves its performance within the vital social and economic role that businesses need to meet” said Andrew Brimson (KHIPU Group Managing Director), going on to say: “This represents an improvement from our previous rating, and is indicative of our on-going efforts to facilitate the development and participation of historically disadvantaged individuals, broaden South Africa’s economic base and stimulate economic growth and employment.”
