Jisc Framework – Simulated Phishing & Associated Awareness Training Services

Tuesday 23rd May, 2017

Jisc select KHIPU Networks for the public sector framework to provide simulated phishing and associated awareness training services Following a rigorous OJEU competitive tender process, Jisc selected KHIPU Networks for the public sector procurement framework to provide phishing vulnerability risk assessment and user awareness training services. The new framework allows for eligible customers to purchase the service directly from KHIPU, removing the need to undertake a procurement / tender exercise which saves both  time and cost, as well as providing value for money for the public sector. With more than 18 million network users, spanning 800 education and research organisations, as well as public sector organisations including health and local government, it was vital that the chosen solution could offer a proven service that can reduce the cyber risks associated with phishing attacks. KHIPU Networks were selected as the most economically advantageous solution. “By improving user awareness, UK education and research organisations can benefit by reducing their exposure of phishing attacks that can have serious implications to their environments as well as their reputation” says Steve Kennett, Security Director at Jisc. “The service available from this framework agreement directly addresses the issues associated with cyber-breaches relating to phishing and lack of user awareness” “We are very pleased to be selected as the single supplier to Jisc for the simulated phishing and associated training service. I believe this reflects KHIPU’s on-going focus and commitment to securing our customers’ critical networks and data, with solutions such as our simulated phishing and training services, supported by next-generation cyber security solutions”. Dave Spence, Senior Account Manager, KHIPU networks.

Who can use the simulated phishing and associated awareness training framework? Under the Eligibility Policy, these services can be procured by UK education and research organisations and any Janet connected organisation. These services may also be provided to the wider public sector and associated bodies whom are providing public services other than those relating to education or research, e.g. blue light services, courts etc.  At present, these include local government authorities in England and Northern Ireland, Education Scotland, the Welsh Assembly Government and (to a limited extent) the NHS in England and Scotland.
