How far away can you detect a drone? More
Detection range depends on the environment and the specific sensors used, but our RF sensors can typically detect a drone and its pilot up to several kilometers away, often the moment the drone is powered on – before it even takes flight.
Can you detect ‘dark drones’ that aren't using radio signals? More
Yes. While many drones use RF for control, some fly autonomously via GPS. We use a multi-sensor approach, integrating Radar and AI-enabled cameras to track any object in the sky, regardless of whether it is emitting a signal.
Is drone jamming legal in the UK? More
Active mitigation, such as jamming, is strictly regulated and generally reserved for law enforcement, military, and specific critical national infrastructure providers. However, detection, identification, and pilot tracking are entirely legal for private organisations to help local authorities respond to threats.
Can you tell the difference between our own drones and unauthorised ones? More
Yes. Through DedroneTracker.AI, we can whitelist authorised drones (e.g., your own maintenance or security drones). The system will ignore these while alerting you only to unknown or rogue aircraft.
