Bridgend College is a further education college based in Bridgend, Wales. Founded in 1928 as the Bridgend Mining and Technical Institute, the college today has four campuses in Bridgend, Pencoed, Queens Road and Maesteg.
The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is continuing to investigate increases in ransomware attacks against schools, colleges and universities in the UK, emphasising again the need for organisations in the sector to protect their networks to prevent ransomware attacks. In addition, distance learning and the hybrid workplace has placed new pressures on teaching, learning and research, presenting new challenges about how to protect and secure valuable student data.
