Khipu Support Update - Bradford Campus Manager
Reference: Microsoft Vulnerability on Windows KB975517
Following the recent virus outbreak at a Large University site (a non-Khipu customer), as a measure of safety, we recommend our customers who are using the 'Bradford Campus Manager' solution to add the following custom scan to check for the Microsoft reference number "KB975517" to ensure your users are up to date with their devices.
Please click here to view the video on how to do the custom scan.
A number of our customers are now looking to extend their Bradford Networks solution to other areas on their network such as campus and wireless, to secure and protect these networks by providing the following;
- Registration and Management of all "unmanaged" (i.e. student devices) and "managed" devices (i.e. departmental staff devices)
- Endpoint Compliance such as latest patches, anti-virus, anti-spyware, unauthorised devices etc
- Visibility of who is online / offline / location / time / IP and MAC details
- Visibility of ALL devices on the network, whether you want to manage them or not
- Ability to control / isolate / remediate vulnerable devices automatically
- Prevent "unauthorised" devices connecting into your networks
- Protection against rogue devices and "at risk" devices
- Full audit trail in real and historically
Integration with 3rd Party systems such as Network Behaviour Analysis (Lancope StealthWatch), Intrusion Prevention Systems (Tipping Point), enabling pro-active measures in the event of an outbreak such as; disabling the switch port of the device causing problems or permanently disabling the device into a 'dead-end' VLAN
Please contact support@khipu-networks.com if you have any questions regarding the custom scan or your account manager on queries regarding Bradford Campus Manager deployments.
