Rajant manufacturers highly secure, portable and mobile wireless mesh solutions.
The wireless access points are known as "breadCrumbs", they can be deployed anywhere whether statically or on a mobile vehicle.
The Rajant BreadCrumb solution is a highly mobile wireless network node that creates a wireless mesh with neighboring BreadCrumbs. The core software called InstaMesh, enables quick connections to moving nodes creating a highly resilient, high-bandwidth network. Some current Rajant BreadCrumb installation have hundreds of radios moving in real-time, maintaining high bandwidth connections.
A BreadCrumb® is an IEEE 802.11a/b/g (WiFi) and Ethernet compatible networking equipment which has the capacity to connect to other BreadCrumbs or networking devices to form a BreadCrumb® network.
There are currently six different BreadCrumb types:
BreadCrumb® ME - Small Form Factor, portable, battery
powered
BreadCrumb® SE - Medium Form Factor, portable and self
contained NSA-1 option, Battery powered
BreadCrumb® XLV/R - Rack / Vehicle mount, high powered with
NSA-1 option
The following are high-throughput models
BreadCrumb® ME2 - Small Form Factor, portable, battery &
mains powered, FIPS 140-2
BreadCrumb® LX2 - Small Form Factor, portable, mains / vehicle
powered, high power.
BreadCrumbs can be deployed into any network whether fixed or connected mobile SatCom for the backhaul communications.

The BreadCrumb mesh differs from standard wireless meshing
products in the following way:-
A Mesh can be formed using single and dual radio BreadCrumbs, each
radio can participate in the mesh and serve clients whereas
traditional Mesh products use one radio for meshing and another
radio for clients. This means that a BreadCrumb mesh outperforms
any other meshing technology for performance.
The BreadCrumb mesh can support up to 200 mobile and moving
interconnected BreadCrumbs, the mesh uses patented technology to
ensure communications, resiliences and security.
