The NitroSecurity IPS utilises a sophisticated, high-performance aggregation and correlation engine that draws from the industry's largest signature library and powerful anomaly detection and protection techniques to identify security threats within the network and isolate anomalous network activity before problems can occur.
Out of the box, NitroSecurity IPS products can be deployed at the edge of the network to prevent internal desktop attacks, or at the perimeter of the network for maximum protection against attacks from the Internet and other points of entry.
This solution provides a more coordinated defense strategy by identifying and proactively remediating threats from viruses, worms, spyware and other forms of malware, as well as unknown zero-day attacks.
The system continuously monitors and analyzes packet flow data and traffic behavior to identify anomalous traffic to the specific switch and port within the network, then acts to thwart the threat by blocking the offending traffic in real-time.
NitroSecurity products support bandwidths from 50 Mbps to 1.2 Gbps while providing integrated Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and basic firewall capabilities, all in a single high-performance appliance. The products can also complement, and seamlessly integrate with, an existing network security infrastructure.
