Khipu Networks named as Alcatel-Lucent ‘UK Partner of the Year 2008’
Double awards accolade given to Khipu for continued innovation and sales success
February 9th, 2009 – Alcatel-Lucent today announced that it has awarded its ‘UK Partner of the Year 2008’ award to Khipu Networks, an advanced networking and security integrator. In addition, Khipu has also been recognised by Alcatel-Lucent on an international stage as one of the winners of its ‘IP network dynamic sales contest 2008’.
Khipu, which provides network infrastructure solutions to the enterprise, education, healthcare, and public sector industries, was awarded ‘UK Partner of the Year 2008’ based on its unremitting efforts to increase Alcatel-Lucent’s brand exposure within vertical markets and secure new business, along with its continued ability to innovate in order to meet customer needs.
Khipu was previously awarded Alcatel-Lucent’s ‘Data Partner of the Year 2007’, and continued to deliver impressive growth in sales of Alcatel-Lucent’s data portfolio during 2008. In addition, Khipu made significant investments in staff training, marketing outreach and tradeshow exhibiting in order to generate new business leads. The company was commended by Alcatel-Lucent for its strategic approach to sales, based around identifying key verticals and setting clearly defined and deliverable targets in each area.

Alcatel-Lucent’s ‘IP network dynamics sales content 2008’ was designed to accelerate sales of IP networking infrastructure, promoting the complete portfolio of Alcatel-Lucent WAN, WLAN and security solutions, while creating new revenue opportunities for partners by encouraging them to move into managed services provision. Khipu founders have been invited to an international Alcatel-Lucent business partner event in Miami during April 2009, where they will receive the award.
